The 5-Minute Guide to AdSense
There are many ways to make money online and whether you're using Affiliate Marketing to sell products or simply monetising an informational site, you have several options. Whether your site is a blogspot blog, wordpress or your own websites you can monetize your site with AdSense, Affiliate links, and WidgetBucks among others.
One of the best known ways to monetise a site these days is with AdSense Marketing. In this 5-Minute Guide you'll find a brief overview of the AdSense market and some of the highpoints of an AdSense program.
Attract Surfers to Your AdSense Ads
In an AdSense campaign, website owners compose sites that are keyword focused around a particular theme or niche. By researching and writing articles (or by having articles written for them), they provide interesting content for web surfers, while allowing Google to advertise on their website with relevant ads.
The site owner establishes an account with Goggle (or other search engine advertisers) and then embeds the AdSense HTML code within his webpage content. Google will then display ads based on the keywords of the website. Google will advertise all things having to do with widgets on your "Wonders of Widgets" website. For each viewer of the site that clicks on an ad, you would receive a percentage of the advertisement revenue, from Google.
Things you'll want to know about AdSense:
- In AdSense, as well as Adwords and Affiliate Marketing, your first thing to do before setting up a website or campaign is keyword research. What are people interested in buying and most important in AdSense; will anyone pay to advertise it, and if so, how much? You need to find a niche; not too competitive, which you can contribute something special to, based on either your past experience in the field, your knowledge or skill, or on your research.
- AdSense ads can be placed on a website or on blogs. One thing to remember, a website can generate steady traffic and can do so for years. Placing AdSense ads on a blog may not provide the traffic a year from now a website would.
- As with Affiliate Marketing, in AdSense, content is king. It's important to provide new and fresh content for your websites and blogs. This will include writing articles. Don't panic! It's not hard to do. Check out the article section here on EarnOnYourComputer.com for the articles on articles
.
- Invaluable test campaigns show what works, and what works better. Where your ad should be placed, should it have a border, what color should it be. This information must be provided to open an AdSense account.
- Your meta tags and keywords listed on the website should reflect the true focus of your page. Google uses this information to put only ads relevant to your page content. In this way only ads of interested to the targeted viewer will be displayed.
This has been just a brief overview, but as you can see, an AdSense campaign can be run alone or could be a wonderful complement to an Affiliate Marketing business. You don't have to choose just one type business; but you will need detailed information on any business you choose.
